The Reserve Galleries showcase my most current work in both digital and watercolor mediums and these pieces are presented in similar catagories/divisions like the Primary Galleries as in Scapes, Visions, Water & Light, and Watercolors. The main difference in the Reserve Galleries is that these paintings are NOT hooked into credit card purchase unless you want to commit to purchase in advance and then I will have my web master link it in so that credit card purchase is possible. Otherwise I prefer personal checks, money orders, bank transfers and PayPal. As with the Primary Galleries, all digital work is printed via giclee and is of archival quality. Watercolors are full sheet (22 x 30) unless noted by > HS < which indicates half sheet or (15 x 22 inches). |

Scapes These are landscape, swampscapes, cloudscapes, oceanscapes are digital paintings presented as giclee prints and are my most realistic series of graphics. The swampscapes in particular relate to my career as a watercolorist but this type of realism has now expanded into cloudscapes and surf which no doubt is the Hawaiian influence. In this group are some interesting perspectives especially Flying into Hilo. |
Future Date is based on the desire to spend other life times with a powerful romantic partner. I created approximately 50 pieces of two light beams/souls coming together in a reincarnated, trans migrational togetherness in other times and spaces. Giclee prints via digital paintings. |
Water & Light series. These digital paintings available as giclee prints are related to the Scapes and the Vision series. The Water & Light series is the bridge between abstract water patterns and semi-realistic land/water/swamp scapes. As water (and fire) do generate pure pattern I find them an irresistible subject matter. Often when playing with pattern in a work in progress it will reveal itself as a water pattern or other form so I often work towards revealing this form. |
Eros These giclee prints relate to the Future Date series but are even more directed to my romantic partner. These graphics show a sweet, loving side of art and also relate to the the visions and the water & light series. |
Other Worlds These are exploratory inter-galaxy fantasies and like some of the Mandala series are post death experience oriented. All images are digital paintings offered as giclee prints. |
Mandalas are a reoccurring theme in my work. Over the years I have painted a large number of mandalas on canvas and paper. These are the first mandalas using the computer as brush, painting digital art printed on paper via the giclee printing process. I consider mandalas related to musical symbols in some ways due to numerical configurations as in time signatures for music. But I also consider them focal points for meditation and as such are symbols for the inner self, the Great Spirit and the after life. They are also, according to the Amish, hex signs to keep away evil spirit. |
Visions
This is like jumping into the void in an art sense. Creation comes out
of chaos and in doing so reveals itself in a pattern. Later I interpret
the pattern and adjust it even further to fit its identity. Sometimes
due to color and form these patterns become figures, light forms, or
a dream. Within this group are references to early figurative works
in oils from a number of years ago. However, most of these figurative
works are of the supernatural and more abstract than my early efforts
with the human figure. In this series are also the fire graphics and
the Hawaiian Fire Goddess, Madam Pele. There are also a number
of graphics that relate to music and dance and a tribute to the Mississippi
Gulf Coast painter, Walter Anderson who was an early influence on my
art. All images here are digital |
